As you can see from the image below you can select Send a Survey from within the steps of Action within automation

You have the option of either selecting a previously sent survey or creating a new survey.

This is a great action to have at your fingertips. For example when creating a date-based automation for an event, you could send a survey after the date of the event to get very useful feedback.
