Set Up Custom Domain Authentication (DKIM and SPF)

Last updated by Technical Support on April 02, 2020 15:36

To help emails reach inboxes we authenticate all emails sent via InTouch CRM. By default we apply our own authentication but if you want your emails to you look more professional you can set up custom DKIM authentication. This allows you to authenticate your emails using your own domain.

In a nutshell if you'd prefer your emails not to show as being sent via yourcrm.co.uk, custom domain authentication is what you are looking for. To set up custom domain authentication you will need your own domain (i.e. not a Gmail or Yahoo account) and access to your DNS. We'll also make your DNS changes too if you give us access.

Step 1

Add two new CNAME records (replace yourdomain.com with your own domain):

key1._domainkey.yourdomain.com CNAME esp1.yourcrm.co.uk

key2._domainkey.yourdomain.com CNAME esp2.yourcrm.co.uk

Step 2

Contact us via support ticket and we'll get you set up and sending from your own domain.

Another benefit of domain authentication is that it'll prevent emails saying 'on behalf of' in the sender address section. As with standard authentication, this can occasionally occur on certain email clients.

The charge for this being set up is a one-off fee of £100 ex VAT
