How do I improve my conversion rates?

Last updated by Brandon Hewitt-Hunt on March 28, 2018 17:36

It's brilliant getting people to your website in the first place, but if you are then struggling to convert visitors to buyers, this can be frustrating.

here are 5 tips to help you improve your conversion rates!

Practise your sales scripts!

If you haven’t even got a written script that you use to sell… you need one! If you have, then a great way of improving your conversion rate is to keep testing this script to see which areas of it are more successful than others, the sales script is a powerful weapon, so make sure its fully loaded!

Play on their ‘fear of loss’

Sales are based on emotion, the biggest one of these that drives sales is ‘fear’ this is usually a fear of missing out. Therefore a good way to improve your conversion rates is by having deals on the homepage such as ‘Book now, only 4 spaces remaining!’ this will install fear into the customer and make them more likely to book, as they don’t want to miss out.

Ensure your sales team are well trained!

There’s no point blowing millions of pounds on your lead generation strategies, if your sales team are upto the job! You should instead prioritise training your sales team on a monthly basis to help your conversion rates rise as you’d expect.

Have a fast-moving website!

Realistically, there isn’t any excuse for having a website that moves slowly in this day and age. Not only does it make you look silly, but having a slow loading website will damage your conversion rates considerably, as people will just get fed up and leave.

Make sure you have social proof on the website!

Something that will really impress your prospective customers, is having different forms of social proof on the website, this adds a sense of credibility to your organisation. One very effective method you can use is testimonials, which are essentially customer reviews, as these let prospects know what they can expect if they do go ahead with you. Having no testimonials on your website will only leave your prospects thinking you have something to hide!
