Troubleshooting - Why can't I import the full names of my new contacts in one column?

Last updated by Adrin Siripala on September 17, 2015 19:30

You may have tried to import contacts from your ,csv file but you see that the names cannot be imported in that way?

1. On your .csv file split your full name column into 2 columns: First name and Last name. Copy/paste your existing name column to the right side of your spreadsheet to the first available column.

2. If you are using Excel, with that column highlit click on data > text to columns and working through the wizard click on the space option which will separate the full name into 2 columns.

3. Once you have those 2 columns, re-name your column header titles as First Name and Last Name, then re-save your file.

4. You can now delete your full name column, re-save and re-import your contacts. You will now be able to personalise your marketing campaigns.
